What’s New?
I’m currently working as an independent editor and writing coach and loving it! This year alone, I’ve worked on several novels and memoirs. I love helping either an emerging writer or an established one grow their work into a finely tuned, finished manuscript. Don’t Stop, by Bonnie Friedman, will be published by Europa next year and A Century in the Making, by Peter Lindenfeld, will be published by Catapult Books.
I’m also currently a We Need Diverse Books mentor, working with the sensitive and talented Beste Filiz Yuksel, as she creates her beautiful YA novel in verse.

In The Community
Last year, thanks to the generosity of Sandell Morse, I came on the board as the Author Ambassador for Pen Parentis, the only organization devoted to ensuring that parent-writers stay on track for their writing careers. Milda DeVoe, Executive Director and I are in the midst of developing an exciting project, still under wraps, but suffice it to say, it’s to provide targeted help for those just graduating from MFA programs.
Events
Last year I appeared at a number of venues for the paperback of my YA novel, We Are All We Have. But the true highlight was the Neev Literary Festival in Bangalore, a festival brimming with energy about reading and boosk, with fascinating side trips to Hampi & Mysore.
