Bringing Books To Life Through Performance
I’ll admit it: I’m a bit of a drama geek. In high school, I did a concentration in theater arts and used to slip into the city to get discount tickets for shows. In college I thought I would major in drama and used to teach children’s theater in the community. In the end, I studied English & History. But I’ve never lost my love of performance. That’s why I’m so thrilled to collaborate on adapting my work to performance through a unique form of Reader’s Theater with Ari Laura Kreith, Artistic Director of Luna Stage. Readers Theater is adapted scenes from my books, performed by professional actors. The result is exhilarating, provoking, and a wonderful ‘way in’ to literature–especially for young people.
